Meet the team


  • Jonathan Frankel is a Partner of the Cavendish Legal Group. Jonthan heads up both our Civil Litigation and Private Client departments which are based in several branches around London. Jonathan has a wealth of litigation experience and successes. He covers contentious matters in the County Court and High Court, as well as in the First Tier Tribunal. Jonathan has been successful in reaching favourable settlements via Alternative Dispute Resolutions, most notably during formal mediation sessions.

    Jonathan has considerable experience in a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious matters including; Housing and Landlord & Tenant, Professional Negligence, Debt Recovery, Contractual disputes, Negligence and Nuisance cases, Commercial and Residential Property disputes, and contentious probate and inheritance act claims. Jonathan has also successfully developed a specialism in Leasehold Reform work.

    Jonathan has developed a solid and loyal client base as he ably represents all matters comprehensively from start to finish. This covers both hostile claims for lease extensions, or claims to purchase the freeholds (collective enfranchisement) of both flats under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and houses under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967.

    Disputes regarding a leaseholder’s managing agent or service charges, Rights to Manage and Tenants Rights of First Refusal are a specialism in his portfolio.

    Non-contentious services include a substantial private client case load involving Wills & Probate, Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications within the jurisdiction of the Court of Protection.

    Jonathan deals with matters thoroughly and conscientiously to enable the best outcome for his clients. He will not be intimidated by hostile opponents and will drive the hard bargain forward when a favourable deal is likely to be obtained.

  • Krystal is a Solicitor at Cavendish Legal Group and a key part of the Probate Lawyer team.

    Krystal completed her LLB (Hons) at Southampton Solent University. She then went on to the University of Law in Bloomsbury in 2012 and completed her Legal Practice Course with a distinction, qualifying as a solicitor in July 2015.

    Krystal runs the private client department in the Walthamstow office. She specialises in all matters relating to wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, estate planning, court of protection applications and trusts. She understands that some of her clients are going through a difficult time and she prides herself on always making sure the process is stress free for them. She recognises the need to explain in detail what can sometimes be a complex area of law in an uncomplicated and efficient way. Krystal has dealt with the administration of very complex multi million pound estates.

  • Norman Saville qualified as a Solicitor and was admitted June 1966, LLB

    Norman Saville qualified as a solicitor in June 1966 so he is an elder statesman, with considerable experience in many fields. After fourteen years as a partner in a Holborn practice, Norman formed his own firm and developed it over the next thirty years, eventually specialising in wills & probate.

    In March 2010 Norman moved on to his next venture which was to join Cramer Pelmont as a consultant and then partner which later merged with GTC Law to become Cavendish Legal Group.

    Many of Norman’s clients have been with him for a long time: Norman often acts in addition for their children and grandchildren, who appreciate his experience, wisdom and specialised knowledge. Norman works with the Cavendish Legal Group full time and deals with all problems with speed and efficiency (including the more difficult problems).

    Norman is keen to ensure that all clients have a will, even if it is a relatively simple one. Putting off making a will can only lead to problems for the family, including problems relating to inheritance tax.

  • Susan McHale is a specialist Legal Executive for Probate Law.

    Susan McHale joined Cramer Pelmont in 1986 as an outdoor clerk often attending the High Court. She has practised in various areas of law, including criminal, matrimonial, civil litigation and liquor licensing.

    For the past twenty years Susan has specialised in wills and probate. She recognises that reassuring her clients at times of personal grief, and helping them with efficiency and sensitivity through what can be difficult and demanding time.

  • Maria Perez, Solicitor, specialises in Spanish Law (Abogado).

    She has qualifications that enable to act as both and English and Spanish lawyer and was admitted 2007, LLB (Hons), LLM Master in International Law.

    Maria is a dual qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, admitted in 2007, and a Spanish Lawyer (Abogado), qualified in 2000. She has practiced for 12 years, 9 of which have been in the City of London.

    She is specialised in cross-border transactions between UK and Spain, in particular Private Client work and cross-border Wills & Probates, acting for and advising clients and trust funds in estate planning and administration of estate involving several jurisdictions. She also advises a variety of clients with financial interest in Spain on a wide range of services:

    Advice to UK and Spanish companies and investors on setting up and running their businesses both in the UK and in Spain, including advice on commercial contracts, purchase and sale of business, JVs and shareholders agreements.

    Advice on Spanish real estate sales and purchases, including high value property portfolio and single asset transactions, as well as real estate projects.

    Maria acts for several building societies on secured lending transactions, debt restructuring and repossession matters in Spain. She also advises private clients on these areas.

    Maria also acts for other Lawyers and Notary Publics both in the UK and Spain, drafting and preparing notarial documents.
